In Uganda — as in every country we serve — we bring together vacancies from trusted public sources into one fast search, so you spend less time browsing job boards and more time applying. ### What Finder does We collect job offers that employers publish openly on the web, organise them into a single structured catalogue and make them searchable by role, city, salary, work format, experience and more. Finder is a search engine, not an employment agency: we never stand between you and the employer. Every vacancy links to the original posting, and you always apply directly at the source. ### Where the vacancies come from Our sources are public: official employer career pages and open job boards. For every vacancy we keep a link to the original publication so you can verify it yourself. Before a vacancy appears in search we normalise its title, location, salary and employment details, connect it to our profession and geography catalogues, and remove duplicates. ### How we keep listings up to date The database is refreshed every day. When a source closes a vacancy, we deactivate it on Finder as well, so you do not waste time on offers that are already gone. If you spot an outdated or suspicious vacancy, write to us at support@finder.work — we review such reports with priority. ### Our principles Free for job seekers. Searching, saving vacancies and building a resume on Finder cost nothing, and there are no premium listings that distort your results. Transparency. We always show where a vacancy was published and never hide the original source. Safety. A legitimate employer never asks you to pay for employment or to share banking codes. We repeat this warning next to every vacancy. Privacy by default. You can use the search without an account; if you sign in, we store only the minimum needed to run your profile. ### Finder worldwide Finder runs regional sites in 50 countries. Each country gets its own domain, its own vacancy base and search in its primary language. ### Your account, saved jobs and resume A free Finder account syncs your saved vacancies across devices and countries and unlocks the resume builder: fill in one form and download a professionally designed PDF with Finder branding — ready to send to any employer. You stay in control of your data: the profile settings let you delete your account and everything connected to it at any moment. ### Contact us Questions, corrections or partnership ideas? Reach the Finder team at support@finder.work — see the contacts page for details on what to include so we can help faster. ## Contacts We read every message. Choose the topic below that matches your question and write to us at support@finder.work — a short, specific email gets the fastest answer. ### Support for job seekers Having trouble with search, your account, saved jobs or the resume builder? Email support@finder.work and describe what happened, on which page and — if possible — attach a screenshot. We usually reply within two business days. ### Reporting a vacancy If a vacancy looks outdated, misleading or fraudulent, send us its link. Reports about suspicious offers are reviewed with priority, and confirmed violations are removed from search. ### Employers and sources Finder indexes openly published vacancies. If you are an employer or run a job board and want your postings updated, corrected or removed from our index, email support@finder.work with links to the affected pages — we will process the request promptly. ### Privacy and data requests You can delete your account and all related data yourself in the profile settings. For any other privacy request — access, correction or questions about how your data is processed — write to support@finder.work with the subject “Privacy”. ### Media and partnerships For press inquiries, integrations and partnership proposals, use the same address support@finder.work with the subject “Partnership” and a short description of your idea. ## Terms of use These terms apply to the Finder site for Uganda and to every regional site of the Finder network. By using the site you agree to the rules below. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the service. ### 1. What Finder provides Finder is a search engine over job vacancies published in public sources. We provide search, filters, email-free browsing, saved jobs, and a resume builder with PDF export. The service is provided free of charge for job seekers. ### 2. Vacancies and third-party content Vacancy descriptions, company names and salaries originate from their sources and belong to their respective owners. Finder shows them for information purposes and always links to the original posting. We work to keep listings accurate and current, but we cannot guarantee that every third-party posting is error-free, still open, or that the employer will respond. Applying for a job and any resulting relationship happen strictly between you and the employer on the employer's side. ### 3. Your account Signing in uses your Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure and for the actions performed under your Finder profile. You may delete your account at any time in the profile settings; this permanently removes your profile, saved vacancies and resume from our systems. ### 4. Resume builder Content you enter into the resume builder remains yours. You are responsible for its accuracy and for having the right to share the information it contains. We generate the PDF for your personal use in job applications. ### 5. Acceptable use You agree not to disrupt the service, attempt unauthorised access, mass-scrape the site, publish unlawful content through any of its features, or use Finder to mislead employers or job seekers. ### 6. Intellectual property The Finder name, logo, design and software are protected and belong to the Finder project. Vacancy content belongs to its original publishers. ### 7. Disclaimer and liability The service is provided “as is”. Finder is not an employment agency, does not act on behalf of employers and is not a party to any employment relationship. To the extent permitted by law, Finder is not liable for decisions you make based on information found through the service. Never pay anyone for employment and never share banking codes or one-time passwords: legitimate employers do not ask for them. ### 8. Changes to these terms We may update these terms as the service evolves. The current version is always published on this page; continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new version. ### 9. Contact Questions about these terms are welcome at support@finder.work. ## Privacy policy This policy explains what data Finder processes, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to all regional Finder sites, including the site for Uganda. The short version: we collect very little, we never sell your data, and you can delete everything yourself at any time. ### 1. Data we collect Without an account: standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, requested pages) used for security and to keep the service running, plus anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. With an account: your name, email address, profile photo and interface language received from Google when you sign in; the vacancies you save; and the content you enter into the resume builder. In your browser: the saved-jobs list of a guest is stored only in your browser's local storage; a session cookie keeps you signed in; a flag remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice. ### 2. How we use data We use this data solely to run the features you asked for: keeping you signed in, syncing saved vacancies across devices, storing and rendering your resume, generating its PDF, protecting the service from abuse and understanding aggregate usage. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it. ### 3. Sign in with Google Authentication uses Google OAuth. We receive only your basic profile (name, email, photo, language) — never your password. Finder cannot read your mail or act on your Google account in any way. ### 4. Cookies and local storage Finder uses one functional session cookie for sign-in and the browser's local storage for guest bookmarks and the cookie-notice flag. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. ### 5. Sharing Your data is shared only with the technical infrastructure providers that host the service, under contracts that restrict them to processing on our behalf, or when disclosure is required by law. Nobody else receives it. ### 6. Retention Account data, saved vacancies and resumes are kept until you delete them or your account. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. Technical logs are kept for a limited period needed for security. ### 7. Your rights You can view and edit your profile and resume at any time, and delete your account — together with saved vacancies and resume — in the profile settings, with immediate effect. For access, correction or other privacy requests, email support@finder.work with the subject “Privacy”. We answer within the timelines required by applicable law. ### 8. Children Finder is intended for people of working age and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's data. ### 9. Changes and contact If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with an updated date. Questions are welcome at support@finder.work. ## Crawl and reuse notes - Public HTML pages, sitemaps, Atom feed, and these Markdown files may be fetched by AI search and assistant crawlers that honor robots.txt. - Filter query-strings, `/account`, `/auth/`, `/api/`, `/login`, `/healthz` and `/away` are disallowed. `/vacancies?q=` (SearchAction) and pagination (`?page=` on `/vacancies` and `/explore`) are allowed so crawlers can run site search and discover `/vacancy/` links past page 1. `?q=` result pages stay noindex. - Amazonbot is disallowed site-wide. - Prefer `https://ug.finder.work/llms.txt` as the entry index, then follow linked pages or this full pack for grounding.
